1 <br />' 09 June 1998 <br /> AGE-NC PiojectNo 95-0104 <br />' Page 3 of 4 <br />' In March 1998, ground water monitoring data collected in the area of MW-1 through MW-6 <br /> indicates that the ground water flow direction was generally toward the northeast at a gradient of <br /> 0 004 ft/ft, or approximately 24 feet per mile (Figure 3) <br /> 32 DISSOLVED OXYGEN MEASUREMENTS <br />' During the March 1998 ground water monitoring event, dissolved oxygen measurements were <br /> recorded while purging the monitoring wells Dissolved oxygen measurements ranged from 7 2 <br />' percent (VW-1) to 17 3 percent (MW-1) Results of dissolved oxygen in ground water samples are <br /> listed in Table No 2 <br />' 3 3 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> During the March 1998 sampling event,TPH-g was detected in water samples collected from MW-1, <br /> MW-5, MW-6 and VW-1 at concentrations ranging up to 3,200 parts per billion (ppb, repotted as <br /> micrograms pei liter) <br /> BTE&X .veie detected in samples collected from well VW-1 at concentrations ranging up to 540 <br /> ppb (xylenes, VW-1) Benzene was detected from well VW-1 at a concentiation of I3 ppb MTBE <br /> was not detected utilizing EPA Method 8020 in the analyzed samples <br /> Analytical results of selected ground water samples aie summarized in Table 3 The laboratory <br /> reports (Alpha Analytical Batch Number 98-0310) and chain-of-custody forms are presented in <br /> Appendix B <br /> r <br /> 4 0. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS <br /> I Based upon data collected during the Marc <br /> p � h 1998 monitoring event, AGE concludes <br /> • Ground water flow direction at the site(the area containing wells MW-1 through MW-6)was <br /> estimated to be toward the northeast, the gradient was calculated to be 0 004 ft/ft, or <br /> approximately 24 feet per mile (Figure 3) <br /> • The ground water surface elevation at the site continues to remain above the slotted screened <br /> intervals in wells MW-2 through; MW-6 Samples collected from these wells may not be <br /> fully representative of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in shallow ground <br /> • water <br /> Advanced GcoEmironmenlal,inc <br />
