I
' 06 August 2002
AGE-NC Project No 95-0104
' were not detected at or above laboratory reporting hrnrts in the ground water samples collected from
the site Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory
reports(McCampbell Analytical Inc Lab I D No 0206428-001 through 0206428-004)and chain-of-
custody
hain-ofcustody form are presented in Appendix B
' 4.0 DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on data collected during the June 2002 sampling event, AGE concludes
' • The ground water flow direction on 26 June 2002 was inferred to be towards the northeast
under an average gradient of 0 003 feet/feet
I • 1,2-DCA was detected in the water samples collected from MW-5, MW-6 and VW-1 at
concentrations ranging from 2 0 pg/l (MW-6) to 42 pg/l (MW-5) TPH-g,BTEX and other
fuel additives were not detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water
samples collected from the site
Concentrations of 1,2-DCA have decreased in samples from wells MW-1,MW-5 and MW-6
1,2-DCA concentrations decreased to non detectable levels in well MW-1 and remained
relatively stable in the sample collected from well VW-1 Figure 4 illustrates the approximate
extent of 1,2-DCA-impacted ground water The lateral extent of 1,2-DCA impacted ground
water has been fairly well defined in every direction, except towards the northeast The
vertical extent has been defined
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation,AGE recommends the shallow-screened monitoring wells
(VW-1, MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6) continue to be sampled to monitor the concentrations of
1,2-DCA-impacted ground water The next monitoring event should be scheduled for
September 2002
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
