Harding Lawson Associates
In November 1990, another consultant drilled and sampled one
soil boring on site (plate 2) to evaluate the presence of
r,
petroleum hydrocarbons in soil near the gasoline tank. six soil
samples taken from 0 to 50 feet deep were tested for TPH
concentrations, as well as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and
xylenes (BTEX) . None of the six samples showed detectable
concentrations of TPH; the four samples from 19.5 to 49.5 feet
had very low concentrations of one or more BTEX components
(Gemini Petrographic, initial Soil Investigation Report dated
November 1990) . The sampling depths and results of chemical
analyses are presented in Table 1. On the basis of these
results, the EHD requested that additional investigation
activities be conducted. HLArs soil and groundwater
investigation was conducted in response to the EHD's request.
ff
,vt REVIEW OF AVAILABLE DATA
- r
Review of Reaulato"v AsenCY Lists
ti.
