Jay's Mini Mart Page 2
3302 West Lane April 9, 2008
Stockton, California 95204
Please note that the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB)
is requiring evaluation of Environmental Screening Levels (ESLs), (San Francisco Bay
Regional Water Quality Control Board), California Human Health Screening Levels
(CHHSLs), and the potential for vapor intrusion into buildings for closure consideration
of sites having residual contamination proposed to be IeA in place. Therefore, you are
directed to evaluate the potential threat for vapor intrusion inside the buildings located
onsite, the ESLs, and CHHSLs. Please submit a vapor intrusion evaluation based on
existing site data and the ESLs and CHHSLs evaluations, or a work plan to the EHD to
assess the potential for vapor intrusion into the existing onsite buildings by June 13,
2008.
Total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPHd), di-isopropyl ether
(DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETRE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary
butylalcohol (TBA), and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) have not been detected in any
i groundwater samples collected from the three onsite monitoring wells. Therefore, the
EHD approves removing these compounds from the analyte list and instead analyze
groundwater samples collected semi-annually for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, total
xylenes (BTEX), total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPHg), methyl
tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE), and 1,2-DCA.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney, Senior.
