ATC proposes to advance six soil borings onsite as follows:
• One boring, advanced to total depth of approximately 60 feet below surface grade
(bsg), will be located halfway between the former locations of the two southern
dispenser islands for the purpose of eliminating soil data gaps;
• One boring, advanced to total depth of approximately 60 feet bsg, will be located
approximately 30 feet southeast and down gradient of soil boring SB3 for the
purpose of investigating hydrocarbon contamination previously identified in soil
and groundwater samples collected from SB3;
• One boring, advanced to total depth of approximately 50 feet bsg, will be located
approximately seven feet north/northwest of monitoring well MW-2 to eliminate
soil data gaps above 50 feet bsg;
• One boring, advanced to total depth of approximately 60 feet bsg, will be located
approximately 35 feet south of the current eastern dispenser island to further
investigate hydrocarbon contamination previously identified in soil and
groundwater samples collected from soil borings S133 and S134;
• One boring, advanced to total depth of approximately 60 feet bsg, will be located
approximately ten feet west of the underground storage tanks (UST), and
approximately 25 feet south/southeast of MW-3 to further investigate
hydrocarbon contamination previously identified in soil samples collected from
beneath the former USTs; and
• One boring, advanced to total depth of approximately 60 feet bsg, will be located
approximately five feet north of the northeast corner of the former/current USTs
to further investigate hydrocarbon contamination down gradient of the source
area.
