To date, the work plan has not been implemented. You
requested that a lesser scope of work be required. Based on a discussion with Marty Hartzell of the Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB),a tninlimurn of three soil borings must be
completed to define the lateral and vertical extent of groundwater contamination. If groundwater
contamination is detected during exploration, monitoring wells will be required for repeatable sampling and
direction of groundwater flow.
You are directed to implement the approved work plan or submit a new work plan by May 6,2002. Failure
to do so will result in a letter of non-compliance and may jeopardize'arding this letter.4clean-up fund reimbursement.
