ATC Associates Inc.
vtT'
C 1117 Lone Palm Avenue,Suite 201
Modesto,California 95351
209-579-2221
. . .
Fax:209
- A S S O C I'"A T E S 1 N C. `
I f
set at a depth of 65 feet bgs.' The well abandonment was conducted by Woodward Drilling
Co. Inc, State C57 License No. 710079. An annular space of 20 inches was excavated
around each well to a depth of 3 feet bgs. The PVC pipe was cut so approximately 6 inches
of pipe remained above grade. Neat cement grout was pumped into each well via tremie,
until the pipe was completely filled. At each well a minimum of 25 psi of pressure was
applied for a minimum of ten minutes. The wells were then backfilled with additional grout
until the excavation was filled to a minimum of one foot above the top of the PVC pipe. The
remaining excavation was backfilled with sand and a concrete'cap was installed.
i r
Investigative Derived_ Waste
I
Soils generated by the abandonment of the monitoring wells were stored in Department of
{ Transportation approved drums. Also drums containing ground water generated during the
site investigation were present at the site. The soil generated during the well abandonment
activities was tested by a state certified laboratory and the results indicate that no chemicals
of concern were detected above the laboratory detection limits. The laboratory report is
it included in Attachment 1. The waste drums were removed from the site and were properly
disposed of. Manifests for these drums are included in Attachment 2.
These actions complete the requirements of the CVRWQCB and the SJCEHD to close the
site.
F
j Please contact our office at (209) 579-2221 if you have any questions
Respectfully submitted; -
ATC Associates Inc.
J Sellman 4NNE
Ht]
Staff Geologist iVISEX
rn
Q Na C047`M Q rtf
G WI2
 Exp=—-L—
Jeanne Homsey, P.E. eP>, CIVIL '
Registered Engineer No. C47410 9TOF`'A`,FQQ
cc: Mr. Jay McIlrath, West Lane Fuels
Mr. Jim Barton, RWQCB
I
C
i
Project No.54.26874.0001
