QuarterlyReport -Secon .Quarter 2006
-MANTECA CITY CORPOIATION YARD.
210 East Wetmore Street, Manteea, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request.of Mr. Frederic Clark of the City of M teca,'Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. .
(AGE) has prepared this-quarterly report.for the property located- at.210 East. Wetmore Street,
Manteca; California. The enclosed report .documents-the procedures and results of quarterly
monitoring of seven ground water monitoring wells. The site and the surrounding area'are, illustrated
on Figure 1. Structures and well locations are illustrated on Figure 2.
2A. -PROCEDURES _
r Monitoring well sampling was performed in accordance with the San Joaquin.County Environmental _
Health Department(EHD) sample reduction letter,dated 09 June 2005;under which;well s'MW-1,
MW-2,MW-4,MW-5,MW-'6,MW-9 and MWA 0 are to be sampled on a quarterly basis, and wells
r. MW-3,MW-7 and MW-8 are to be sanipled'on a semi-ahnual basis. On 25 May 2006, seven ground
water monitoring wells(MW-1,MW-2,MW-4,MW-5,MW-6;MW-9 and MW-10).were sampled:
" Field work was performed in" accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)
sites.
2.1. . WELL MONITORING AND PURGING
On 25 May 2006,the depth to groundwater in wells MSW-1,MW-2, MW-4 through MW-10 were
' measured from the top of each well casing to the nearest 0.01--foot utilizing a Solinst water level.
meter. Ground water elevation in each measured well was calculated by subtracting the measured
depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1). Depth to ground water could
not be measured from well MW-3 because the, wellwa covered'and inaccessible.
After water levels were measured, between 5.5 and 7.5-gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing—
water volumes per well)were purged from monitoring el1s.MW-1,MW-2;M1]iW-4,MW-5,MW-6,
MW-9-and MW_10 using dedicated, disposable plastic bailers. Ground water temperature,pH and
conductivity were:measured at regillar:intervals durinj purging using an Oakton water analyzer.
Field sheets and data are included in.Appendix A. Purged water was containerized in properly
labeled Department of`TransporWion'(DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums and stored on-site.
2.2.
