30A ugust 2006. '
AGE-NC
006. -
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0637
format (EDF) files are included in Appendix C. i
3.3. OZONE INJECTION
Ozone.inj ection began at the site on-31 August 2004..On 09 February 2006, ozone wells OW-1,
'- OW-3, OW-7, OW-8 and.OW-9 were turned off in order to focus ozone injection in the areas of
higher concern or continued residual dissolved MTBE.Currently the ozone system injects-ozorie for
a 1 hour duration into ozone injection points OW-2,•OW W
-4, OW-Sand O -6. After completing a.
r" cycle throughthe four ozone wells, the ozone injection ceases for one hour prior to beginning the
- next cycle.
r Between. 27 March -2005 and 26 June. 2006 the' o one injection remediation system was
non-operational for approximately fourteen days formai tenance and repairs.During operation, the
injection pressure was approximately 10 to 12 pound per square inch(psi) and the flow, rate ranged
from 16 to 20 stand cubic feet hour (scfh)., Ozone remediation-field data is presented in Tables.4
and 5.
k 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions were drawn;from the results of this investigation:
- The ground water elevations ranged frorn 19.41 feet to 19.52 feet above MSL.Ground water
t
flow was inferred to be flowing generally.toward the northwest, away from the former UST
area at-an-average gradient of-0 0007 ft/ft.
MTBE was not detected-from the samples collected this.quarter. MTBE concentrations
decreased from 200 micrograms per_liter (µgVl) to non-detect 'in-well MW-4; from a
concentration of 25:µg/l to non-detect in well W 5; from a concentration of 7.8 pg/l to
non-detect in well MW-1; and from--28 µgel to non-detect in well MW-10.
• No other analytes were detected in.the May 2006 ground water samples. .
". 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE reco ends:
Continuation of the quarterly ground water me nitoring'program_-The third quarter.2006
monitoring event was performed in August 2006..
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
