WATER WELL RECEPTOR SURVEY <br /> In September and October 2003,AGE conducted a sensitive receptor survey as part of the initial site <br /> characterization requirements under the California Code of Regulations - Title 23, Division 3, <br /> Chapter 16, Section 2654. The objective of the work was to identify and locate sensitive receptors, <br /> including wells potentially affected by the UST release, and to identify and locate potential vertical <br /> conduits. The scope of work included the review of State of California Department of Water <br /> Resources records and San Joaquin County Department of Health Services records,and conducting <br /> a visual area reconnaissance for municipal, domestic, irrigation, or ground water monitoring wells <br /> within a 2,000-foot radius of the site and septic systems located on the site. <br /> Mr. Eric Medeiros of the City of Manteca Water Well Division was contacted by an AGE <br /> representative.According to Mr. Medeiros, drinking water at and near the site is currently supplied <br /> by the City of Manteca municipal water well network. Mr. Medeiros provided AGE with the well <br /> log for City of Manteca Municipal well Number 13, located 2,000 feet south of the site. <br /> Approximately 23 monitoring wells,at three different sites,were observed within 2,000 feet of the <br /> site. In addition, City of Manteca Municipal Water Weld Number 13 is located 2,000 feet south of <br /> the site in the cross-gradient direction. A summary of water wells, located from the review of well <br /> driller's reports, is included in Table 6; locations of the wells are depicted on Figure 4. <br /> 4.0. OZONE INJECTION REMEDIATION <br /> I <br /> On 13 and 14 May 2004, nine ozone injection wells were installed at the site using a CME-75HT <br /> drill rig,equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers to install ozone injection wells OW-1 <br /> through OW-9.Wells OW-1,OW-2,OW-3 and OW-5 through OW-9 were drilled vertically to total <br /> depths of 30 feet bsg.Well OW-4 was drilled at a 20 degree angle to a vertical depth of 30.5 feet bsg ; <br /> and a drill length of 32.5 linear feet. OW-1 through OW i 9 were completed as ozone injection wells <br /> using post manufacturer-assembled 2-inch by 30-inch macroporous sparge diffusion points in each <br /> boring (from approximately 27.5 feet to 30 feet bsg inI OW-1, OW-2, OW-3 and OW-5 through <br /> OW-9;from approximately 28 feet to 30.5 feet bsg in OW-4),with 1-inch blank casing extended to <br /> the surface. <br /> I <br /> On 07 July 2004, the ozone distribution system was installed at the site. A network of 3/8-inch <br /> diameter PVC tubing was installed in 1/2-inch diameter PVC conduit in a series of trenches <br /> approximately 6-inches wide and 12-inches deep.Ozone distribution lines were routed underground ' <br /> from each ozone well head to the solenoid control valve on the HC-2.50 Ozone Generator, which <br /> produces ozone at a rate of up to 2.5 pounds per day at a maximum pressure of 25 pounds per square <br /> inch (psi). <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br /> - I <br /> I <br />
