Based on Ground
Zero's cost proposal dated November 14, 1997, the total pre-approved amount is 54967. The
World Wide Web
ht[p://wwwswrcb.ca. reduction in the proposed costs is from the laboratory rates. The acceptable and reasonable rate for
gov/-cvvphome/ the analyses of TPHg/BTEX is $80(included 15% markup) per sample.
rundhome.htm
Additionally, the costs for sampling and analyzing of the influent and effluent streams should be
included in all future cost estimates including bid proposals. In this profession.
consultants/contractors must realize that PID readings are used as screening tools and cannot be
relied upon for actual vapor concentrations or to evaluate the effectiveness of the vapor extraction
system. To obtain necessary data accurately, you need to consider the required laboratory analyses
in your treatment processes and also to comply with the air district's requirements. Future cost
submittals without this consideration will not be reviewed and return unprocessed.
Please call if}ou have any questions.
