Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund
Request for Budget Category Change Form
July 2011 through June 2012
Instructions: If you believe the Fund has placed your claim in the wrong budget
category, please return this form to USTCleanur)Fund((Dwaterboards.ca.gov with
a brief justification for your request to change the budget category.
Claim # 7881 Priority Class B Region 5
Fund Assigned Budget Category CAP/REM (STARTUP)
Geotracker Global ID T0607700163
Claimant Name & Email Address: Knowles Family 1993 Revocable Trust
c-knowles@sbcglobal .net
Consultant Name & Email Address: Ground zero Analysis
gstahl@groundzeroanalysis .com
Requested Budget Category and Justification:
Fund staff classified this case as "Startup" and consequently the claim
received a default budget allocation of $10, 000 for FY 2011/2012 . In
fact peroxide injection was begun in November 2010 and has continued on
a monthly basis to date . Recent sampling shows significant reductions
in hydrocarbon concentrations in downgradient wells . This case should
be classified as "0&M" and the budget should be revised accordingly. By
reducing peroxide injection to a quarterly schedule, the FY 2011/2012
costs for corrective action are estimated at $66, 500 . If the
monitoring requirements can be relaxed (requires RWQCB consent) costs
could be further reduced significantly.
If you have questions, please call one of the Fund Technical Units Staff assigned
to your region. Fund Technical Units Staff contact information is provided at:
hftp://www.waterboards.ca._qov/water issues/programs/ustcf/docs/techstaff cont
act.Pdf
