'Mr. Carl W. Knowles, Successor Trustee Page 5 of 5
Knowles Family Trust 23 December 2009
Former Roek Construction
102 S. Wilson Way
demonstrates that your site has its own unauthorized release that has impacted soil and
groundwater that should be addressed by you. This is supported by the SCM prepared by GZA
in 2006.
As noted above, you may appeal this decision of the EHD to the State Water Resources Control
Board; should you choose to do so, you will still be subject to the directives of the EHD
regarding your site while your appeal is pending. Also as noted above, the EHD has issued
several directives to submit plans or feasibility studies to actively remediate groundwater
impacted by your unauthorized release. You are now directed to submit a corrective action plan
to address impacted groundwater and residual impacted soil that is still impacting groundwater
within 30 days of date of this letter. You are also directed to complete repairs and re-initiate
operation of the soil vapor extraction unit within 30 days of date of this letter.
Questions or comments may be directed to Nuel Henderson at (209) 468-3436.
Sincerely,

Nuel C.
