1 <br /> GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> RECEIVED <br /> X11 2 9 19 <br /> 1714 Main Street ENVIRO <br /> Escalon,California 95320 NMENTAL HEA <br /> Facsiimle.•Telephone.(209)838-9883 838-9888 PERMIT/SERVICES T TH <br /> ' July 27, 1999 <br /> Mr Ron Rowe <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Ave , 3rd Fl <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> ' Subject Second Quarter 1999, Report, Knowles/Roek Property, 102 South Wilson Way, <br /> Stockton, California (Figure 1) <br /> ' Dear Mr Rowe <br /> Ground Zero Analysis, Inc (Ground Zero) has prepared this report to summarize activities during <br /> the second quarter 1999 at the subject site Groundwater related activities included monitoring <br /> groundwater elevations, sampling groundwater, and analyzing samples for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) <br /> ' Additionally, as requested by San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHSIEHD), samples from wells MW 1, MW3, MW4, MW7, MW 11, MW 12, and <br /> ' MW 13 were analyzed for oxygenates [methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tert-butyl ether <br /> (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), and tertiary butyl <br /> alcohoVtert-butanol (TBA)] using EPA method 8260 <br /> ' During the second quarter 1999 (April 1 through June 30, 1999), the Soil Vapor Extraction <br /> System (VES) operated for 1,914 hours, removing an estimated 550 pounds of hydrocarbons <br /> ' from the subsurface Since full time operation began on November 19, 1997 the VES has <br /> operated for a total of 8,924 hours, removing approximately 12,000 pounds of hydrocarbons from <br /> the subsurface The system was shut down during part of April due to a system component <br /> failure <br /> GROUNDWATER ACTIVITIES <br /> ' Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling <br /> ' Groundwater monitoring was conducted on May 4, 1999 The depth to groundwater was <br /> measured in each well and subtracted from the wellhead elevation to determine groundwater <br /> roeklgmrl2c m 1999 <br />
