GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> 1714 Main Street <br /> Escalon,California 95320 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 <br /> May 18,2001 <br /> Ms Margaret Lagono c <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> ' 304 East Weber Avenue,Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> ' Subject Confirmation Boring and Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation Report <br /> 102 S Wilson Way Stockton,California <br /> ' Dear Ms Lagono <br /> Ground Zero Analysis, Inc (Ground Zero) is submitting this report to summarize the drilling of two Cone <br /> ' Penetrometer Test (CPT) borings and five confirmation soil borings, the installation of one groundwater- <br /> monitoring well,and the analytical results from soil and groundwater samples collected from the borings and <br /> well The purpose of the work described herein was to evaluate the effectiveness of the completed soil vapor <br /> ' extraction effort to further document the vertical extent of contamination and to investigate groundwater <br /> conditions upgradient of existing monitoring well MW4 The work was conducted in accordance with the <br /> Workplan Addendum dated September 11, 2000 and San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> ' Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) approval letter dated October 31, 2000 The location <br /> of the site is shown on Figure l <br /> PROCEDURES <br /> ' Permitting and Protocols <br /> Prior to initiating fieldwork,drilling permits were obtained from PHS/EHD All fieldwork was performed in <br /> accordance with the Site Safety Plan and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan on file with PHS/EHD <br /> Cone Penetrometer Testing <br /> I ' On February 19, 2001 two CPT borings were advanced by Precision Sampling (C57-636387) utilizing � <br /> a 25 ton CPT drill ng Boring CPT1 was advanced within the former tank pit and boring CPT5 was <br /> advanced northeast of the former tank pit The CPT borings were intended to provide an identification <br /> of soil type and to assist in specifying discrete soil and groundwater sample collection points from <br /> i confirmation borings CB1 and CB5 Both CPT1 and CPT5 met refusal at a depth of approximately <br /> ' Ro&\d==%cmffiormg doc <br />
