LEEDSHILL-HERKEMHOFF, INC
the BCA data accordingly and has adopted the numbering system which is shown on
Figure 2.
Furthermore, from an inspection of the sidewalls of the existing excavation it
appears that BCA incorrectly determined the locations of the former underground
tanks. The side walls along the northern portion of the excavation do not appear
to be granular fill type material . However, the southeastern corner of the
excavation does appear to be composed of fi11 . LH believes that the actual tank
locations were approximately ten feet further south and ten feet further east
than RCA's estimated locations, which are the limits of the existing excavation
This accounts for the discrepancy between the existing on-site excavation and
the presently proposed former tank location shown in Figure 2.
2.3 Municipal Wells Within a 1 Mile Radius
A preliminary search of local well records indicate that the California Water
Service Company (Cal Water) maintains a number of municipal wells within a one
mile radius of the site. Water quality records obtained from Cal Water indicate
no evidence of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination. These records are provided
in Appendix B. Figure 3 presents the Cal Water wells within one mile of the
site.
The tabulation below presents the most recent and next scheduled sampling dates
for each Cal dater well :
Uell Most Recent Test Next Scheduled Test
t 1-13 2/4/88 no test scheduled
4/90
1-24 10%2/89 1/90
1-25 10/2/89 1/90
9-01 12/5/88 no test scheduled
10-01 11/15/89 2/90
19-01 10/10/89 1/90
28-01 10/24/89 2/90
30-01 8/11/88 8/90
34-01 6/1/88 6/90
39-01 10/16/89 1/90
40-01 11/1/88 5/90
50-01 3/20/87 no testscheduled
53-01 6/12/89 6/91
