Apr)l 24, 1989 <br /> File No 1105-2 <br /> five to ten - five-gallon-buckets of water is removed and/or the turbidity has subsided <br /> prior to sampling the groundwater A TSP solution is used to wash the hand pump and <br /> later rinsed with water prior to sampling of the next well <br /> Sample Storage and Handling <br /> All samples are stored refrigerated in our "clean" lab They are labeled with the date of <br /> sampling, project name, project number, boring number, and depth of sample <br /> Samples selected for <br /> P laboratory testing are delivered to analytical labs the same day of <br /> sampling or within three days of the sampling date According to EPA standards, sam- <br /> ples must be processed and tested within the holding times set by EPA. These times vary <br /> from 48 hours to 28 days depending upon the requested test. <br /> Samples of potential contamination or of known contamination <br /> era- <br /> tor, (designated for this type of samples) The temperature is kept at approximately 400 <br /> Fahrenheit Samples are kept for approximately 20 to 30 days from the sampling date, <br /> at which time are discarded and the brass tubes and glass ware are cleaned with TSP and <br /> rinsed with water <br /> Other samples are held for 30 to 60 days from the sample date, at which time they are <br /> discarded and the sample tubes are cleaned for the next project <br /> f <br /> f <br /> I <br /> i <br /> A-3 <br />
