Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Workplan for Additional Site Characterization - Roek Bros.
Property, 102 S. Wilson Way, Stockton, CA
Dear Ms. Turkatte,
As we discussed by telephone, we have prepared a phased approach
workplan for additional subsurface investigation at the above
referenced site. The objective of the first phase of this work
F will be to (1) , establish the historical source areas on the
property, (2) install replacement wells capable of monitoring
i current groundwater conditions, and (3) assessing options for
remediation of impacted soils identified in the northwest corner of
the property. Based upon the results of this work it is
anticipated that additional wells will be sited and further
characterization activities, such as hydraulic or vapor extraction
testing, will be undertaken in the future. Similarly, a Soil
Remediation Plan (SRP) will be prepared later based upon the
feasibility analysis and sampling results conducted during this
phase of work. We would expect to proceed with the previously
approved plan for remediation of the stockpiled soils and drummed
water currently on-site in conjunction with this subsurface SRP
once it is approved.
The scope of work
p proposed for this phase of investigation is as
follows:
1 . Perform historical research, to include review of air photos,
Polk Indices and Sanborn Maps, as well as personal interviews to
determine the layout and operation of the tank system(s) at the
site.
2 Install 2 or 3 wells at the locations shown on Figure 1. The
total number of wells will be based upon the water level observed
in MW-6, which may prove to be unusable. Well completion depths
will be based upon current groundwater depths and will entail a
f,v 'RQ- 130 0 M11f0q 1 Ca 96121 , Ph 916-253 2155 : Fax 916--253-2294
