Mr.Nuel Henderson
S RECOMMENDATIONS
Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
Reduce the sampling frequency for wells that are monitoring the plume of contamination
originating from the onsite release. Given the massive quantity of historical groundwater
monitoring and chemical analysis data at this site, quarterly monitoring and sampling for this
site is not warranted. Transfer ownership or sampling responsibility for the wells that are
affected by the offsite release(s) to the appropriate responsible parties.
Vapor Extraction System Operation
Repair and temporarily operate the VES to evaluate the current mass removal rate and unit
cleanup cost. Using these data, evaluate whether an extended period of operation is warranted.
Second quarter groundwater sampling is scheduled to be conducted in May 2004. EHD will be
notified 48 hours prior to conducting the quarterly fieldwork.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this report, please contact us at your
convenience.
Respectfully,
Grou Zer nal s, Inc.
J'
l..
Sea a vey,
Staff Geologist GREGORY P.
STAHL
No. 5023
Gregory P.
