Laboratory analysis of soil samples
indicated elevated levels of BTX&E (benzene, toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene) and TPH
(total petroleum hydrocarbons) as gasoline In soil boring SB22 at a depth of fifteen feet
However, below 15 feet, to a depth of 60 feet, very low detectable levels of BTX&E and
TPH as gasoline were also present It should be noted that these extremely low soil
contaminant levels are not Indicative of a groundwater contamination source area
SB21 and SB23 installed northwest and southwest of S1322, respectively, indicated
essentially no detectable hydrocarbon contamination These sods data indicate that this
area currently does not appear to be a groundwater contamination source area
One of the soil borings, S1321, was converted into a monitoring well (MW6), to replace
well MW1, which has gone dry Laboratory analysis of a water sample collected from
MW6 Indicated low but detectable levels of BTX&E and TPH as gasoline similar to
previous samples collected from MWi.
If you have any questions regarding this supplemental work, please contact Mike
Tognolini or me.
Very truly yours,
C—C''Zj /i ) jwc-
Gerry S Nakano, P E
Project Manager
CC' Don Roek
.9832-12 It/292{m)
SAN FRANCISCO o SAN DIEGO o DENVER o ALt3UQUEROUE o SANTA FE a PHOENIX
