Wilson Way
Stockton, California, 95205
San Joaquin County Environmental Health-Department (EHD) has received by email your letter
dated 30 June 2009, in which you propose a reduction..of the sampling schedule for your
monitoring wells in response to Resolution 2009-0042, passed by the California State. Water
Resources Control..Board.
Specifically, you have proposed the following monitoring schedule:
• Semi-annual sampling— MW-4; MW-6, MW-8., MW-9; MW-10, MW-11 and MW-13; and
• ,Annual sampling — MW-1,,MW-2, MW-3, MW-5, MW-7 and MW-12.
The EHD approves your proposed monitoring well sampling:schedule.
Your consultant, Stantec, has proposed in the fourth quarter 2008 and first quarter 2009 reports,
k cancelling the proposed upgrades to the ozone sparging system. The upgrade was proposed by
SECOR in the third quarter 2007 report and was approved by the EHD by letter dated 10
December 2007. Although a technical justification for cancelling the upgrade was not provided,
k the significant reduction of contaminant concentrations over the last few years appears to show
the upgrade may be of limited benefit; therefore, the EHD approves the proposed cancellation.
Questions or comments may be directed to Nuel Henderson at (209) 468-3436.
Sincerely.,
r.
