Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment <br /> and Interim Remediation/Feasibility Testing <br /> ARCO Facility No,5469 <br /> Stockton,California <br /> Page 9 <br /> Surve zn <br /> The elevation of the top of each well casing will be surveyed to the nearest 0.01 vertical. <br /> feet under the direction of a California licensed surveyor.; The survey will be tied to the <br /> previous survey conducted at the site: Latitudes and longitudes of wells MW-1 through <br /> MW-14 and IW-1 through IW-6 will also be established at this time using the Global <br /> Positioning System (GFS) for submittal`to -the_ State Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board as required by AB 2886 (GeoTracker). <br /> Task 3: Monitoring Well Developmerit anti Groundwater Samplirrg <br /> Monitoring- wells MW-11• through MW7;13 will be1. properly developed and sampled. <br /> Development of the monitoring wells will consist' of surging with a surge block and <br /> groundwater pumping. Development will continue, to the extent practical, until the <br /> development water runs clean and pH and conductivity measurements stabilize. After well <br /> development and stabilization of the water levels,_ water levels and the quantity of well <br /> volumes removed from_the well will be recorded. <br /> A minimum of 48 hours after the groundwater monitoring wells are installed, the wells will <br /> be purged and groundwater samples will be collected` The"samples will be collected using <br /> a disposable bailer, transferred to laboratory-supplied� glass vials, and placed in .an <br /> ice-chilled cooler. The samples will remain ehilledj until relinquished to a state-certified <br /> analytical laboratory. Strict chain-of-custody procedures will be followed from the time the <br /> samples are collected until the time the samples are relinquished to-the laboratory. <br /> Task 4: Laboratory Analysis <br /> Soil and groundwater samples will be forwarded to a California state-certified laboratory for <br /> chemical analysis under strict chain-of-custody procedures. „ The soil and groundwater <br /> samples will be analyzed for TPHG using USEPA Method 8015 DHSILUFT, and for i <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), MTBE, ethyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (ETBE),. di-isopropyl ether (D1PE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl <br /> alcohol (TBA), and 1;2-dichloroethane(1,2=DCA), using USEPA Method 8260. <br /> F <br /> Task 5: Waste Mana.gernent <br /> _ r <br /> All drill cuttings and excess soil samples generated during the field activities will be placed <br /> on, and covered with, Visqueen`rm plastic sheeting aril stored on site.
