(Delta) is submitting
this addendum to Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment, dated March 19, 2001 for the ARCO
Facility located at 130 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California. This addendum addresses those
comments and conditions outlined by Sant Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental
Health Division(PHS/EHD) in their letter dated April.4, 2001. ;
f;
The first 'condition stated in the letter relates to the screen length of the proposed groundwater
monitoring wells. As requested by PHS/EHD, the screen interval for the two groundwater
monitoring wells proposed in the original `work plan will be limited to 20 feet in length. Regarding
the second condition, the need to evaluate the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impact, Delta
is proposing the installation of two additional groundwater monitoring wells. These wells will be
completed,to a depth of approximately 70 feet below ground surface (bgs) and will contain 20 feet of
screen. The followingsections
present the details associated with the installation of the two
additional;' groundwater monitoring wells IM. Other activities associated with this work such as
laboratory'analysis, waste management, and reporting of findings will follow those procedures
outlined in'the March 19, 2001 work plan. .
Additional Groundwater Monitoring Wells
Two additional 4-inch-diameter groundwater monitoringwells will be installed stalled onsite. A total of four.
¢ wells, including the two wells identified in the March 19, 200I work plan will now be installed. The
location of=the two additional wells will be`adjacent to'the wells proposed in the original work plan.'
Therefore, each location identified on Figure 2 of the;March 19, 2001 work plan will consist of a
shallow well that is completed to a depth similar to existing onsite groundwater monitoring wells (551)
feet bgs), and a deeper well that is completed to a depth similar to existing offsite groundwater.'.,
i monitoring„ wells (70 feet bgs) located ori` adjacent properties. The two wells will be placed'.
F`f
f li'
Providing ai Competitive Edge f '
