Ii
Stockton,California
;i Page 3 A
To accomplish this objective, the following activitieslare being proposed: !,
Drill two exploratory soil borings to:approximately 55 feet below ground '
surface (bgs) and convert the borings to groundwater monitoring wells
(MW-7 and MW-8), it
.ir
• Collect soil samples every five feet from each borehole for field screening
`! and laboratory analyses,
• Develop and sample the groundwater monitoring wells, and F
E J
:f • Survey the elevation and horizontal :coordinates of the top of casing of
each monitoring well. ,'EF
SEI }
'FI
The scope of work has been subdivided into tasks 1 through 7, which includes
incorporating the newly installed wells into the existing quarterly groundwater.monitoring ' 1
program. All geologic work will be conducted under the direct supervision of a State of
California Registered Geologist and will be conducted in accordance with standards
established by the Tri-Regional Board Guidelines for Hydrocarbon Site Assessment and .
Remediation (RWQCB 1991).
Task 1: Prefield Activities
Following approval of the work plan by San Joaquin County PHS/EHD, the following
activities will be implemented: All
• " Prepare a site-specific Health and Safety Plan,
• Secure permits from San Joaquin ;County PHS/EHD to install two
groundwater monitoring wells,
• Mark the proposed well locations and notify Underground Service Alert,
ARCO, and San Joaquin County PHS/EHD of the scheduled field activities.
Task 2: Soil Borings and Monitoring Well Installation
To characterize the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacts to groundwater, two
onsite groundwater monitoring wells (MW-7 and MW-8) will be installed to a depth of
approximately 55 feet bgs. The monitoring wells will"be constructed using 4-inch diameter
PVC casing., The proposed locations of the monitoring wells are shown on Figure 2. The
actual location of the monitoring wells will be based on accessibility and the location:of
underground utilities. i, f
P CAARCO154691Work P!an15469wrkpin.doc Delta
, 311912001 {
