These Bills require <br /> the inventory, inspection and permitting of all underground storage tanks that <br /> contain hazardous materials. The San Joaquin Local Health District, Division - <br /> of Environmental Health was designated as the enforcement .agency for the <br /> cities and unincorporated areas within San Joaquin County. State law provide~ <br /> for a fee system to cover the cost of implementing this state mandated . <br /> p rog ram. <br /> Local fees (sea attached Fee Schedule) , for these required inspectional <br /> services, will be billed on .a yearly basis" The facilities Permit to Operate <br /> will be issued for .a five year period. In addition to the yearly <br /> inspectional, fee, this statement will also include a $55./tank State surcharge <br /> fee. The State surcharge fee per tank will be charged every five years or <br /> whenever the facilities permit is renewed or amended. All State surcharge <br /> fees will be transmitted by the Health District to the California Water. <br /> Resources Control Board. <br /> To apply for a facilities Permit to Ope-rate, complete the attached Fee <br /> Worksheet and submit the appropriate fees. Fees are.'due .and payable February <br /> 3, 1986, Fees received after March 6, 1986 are subject to 100% penalty. <br /> In order to answer any questions regarding this Underground Storage Tank <br /> program, the San Joaquin Local Health Distict Division of.Environmental Health <br /> has .scheduled the following information workshops: <br /> 1. Thursday, January 30, .1986, 10 ASS <br /> 2. Monday, February 3, 1986, 2 PN <br /> 3. Tuesday,- February 11,' 1986, 2 PM <br /> All of the above informational workshops will be -conducted at the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District Board Room, 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton, CA.
