Site Assessment Work Plan (TRAP),
dated December 24, 2010, both submitted to Geotracker and has the following
comments.
The SAMR covers the semi-annual monitoring well sampling event conducted on
October 18, 2010. All eight monitoring wells were sampled and analyzed as required by
the EHD. Petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations remain elevated in MW-1, MW-2, and
MW-3. It was concluded in the SAMR that the concentration trends in MW-2 and MW-3
are increasing while concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in MW-1 have
decreased.
The IRAP was submitted in response to EHD correspondence dated October 20, 2010,
and details the number, methods and locations of proposed additional remediation wells.
Five soil vapor extraction wells (SVE) and nine insitu air sparge (IAS) wells are proposed
and trenching and remediation equipment details were included in the IRAP. The
number, locations, and methods for installation of the remediation wells are adequate
and necessary and approved. [H&S 25296.10(c)(3)].
Also included in the IRAP was a proposal to install four soil borings around the perimeter
of the site to continue the required investigative phase. Confirmation soil borings were
also proposed for soil sampling after the system has been in operation for approximately
12 months.
Although no locations were included for the proposed confirmation borings, the EHD
agrees that these borings will be needed and will advise you where the borings are to be
advanced when your consultant has determined when these borings will be needed.
2662 Wilson IRAP SAMR CML 2-15-11.doc
