Wilson Way, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Infurna: ��SS <br /> Enclosed herewith is a completed drilling permit application and associated fee for the advancement <br /> of two(2) soil borings at the subject site(Figure 1). The work will be conducted in accordance with <br /> the September 5, 2008 Workplan for Soil Vapor Extraction/Air Sparging Pilot Test and Additional <br /> Groundwater Investigation, which was approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) in correspondence dated September 16, 2008 with conditions, which were <br /> addressed in the Addendum to the Workplan for Soil Vapor Extraction/Air Sparging Pilot Test and <br /> Additional Groundwater Investigation dated September 5, 2008 dated September 24,2008. <br /> The proposed soil borings will be advanced to an approximate depth of 60 feet below the ground <br /> surface (bgs). A groundwater sample will be collected from each boring using a hydropunch <br /> sampling tool in order to investigate the lateral extent of groundwater contamination beneath the <br /> site. Boring HP 1 will be advanced on the south side of Robindale Avenue approximately 110 feet <br /> west of North Wilson Way and boring HP2 will be advanced on the east side of Sanguinetti Lane <br /> approximately 15 feet south of Robindale Avenue. Because the proposed borings are located within <br /> San Joaquin County right of way an Encroachment Permit has been obtained from the San Joaquin <br /> County Department of Public Works. The proposed off-site activities will be conducted under <br /> Encroachment Permit #PS-0803168, a copy of which has been included in Attachment A. The <br /> borings will be advanced by Gregg Drilling&Testing, Inc(C57-485165)under the supervision of a <br /> Ground Zero geologist. The location of proposed borings can be seen on the site plan provided as <br /> Figure 2. <br /> Upon completion the borings will be backfilled with neat cement grout, emplaced through a tremie <br /> pipe system, and the surface will be completed with an asphalt patch to match the surrounding street <br /> surface. No waste will be generated during the proposed drilling activities. <br />
