Wilson Way, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Infurna: SS
Enclosed herewith is a completed drilling permit application and associated fee for the advancement
of two(2) soil borings at the subject site(Figure 1). The work will be conducted in accordance with
the September 5, 2008 Workplan for Soil Vapor Extraction/Air Sparging Pilot Test and Additional
Groundwater Investigation, which was approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) in correspondence dated September 16, 2008 with conditions, which were
addressed in the Addendum to the Workplan for Soil Vapor Extraction/Air Sparging Pilot Test and
Additional Groundwater Investigation dated September 5, 2008 dated September 24,2008.
The proposed soil borings will be advanced to an approximate depth of 60 feet below the ground
surface (bgs). A groundwater sample will be collected from each boring using a hydropunch
sampling tool in order to investigate the lateral extent of groundwater contamination beneath the
site. The
borings will be advanced by Gregg Drilling&Testing, Inc(C57-485165)under the supervision of a
Ground Zero geologist. The location of proposed borings can be seen on the site plan provided as
Figure 2.
Upon completion the borings will be backfilled with neat cement grout, emplaced through a tremie
pipe system, and the surface will be completed with an asphalt patch to match the surrounding street
surface. No waste will be generated during the proposed drilling activities.
