The work requiring an
Encroachment Permit includes advancing one (1) soil boring on the south side of Robindale
Avenue approximately 110 feet west of North Wilson Way and advancing one (1) soil boring on
the east side of Sanguinetti Lane approximately 15 feet south of Robindale Avenue. Included in
Attachment A are copies of the Workplan proposing the additional subsurface investigation and a
copy of correspondence from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
requesting the additional subsurface investigation at the subject site. The work is being conducted
as part of a fuel leak investigation under EHD oversight.
Gregg Drilling, a C-57 licensed drilling contractor, will advance the two soil borings. The soil
borings will be advanced to an approximate depth of 60 feet below the ground surface(bgs) for the
purpose of collecting groundwater samples. Upon completion the borings will be grouted to the
surface with neat cement grout and finished with an asphalt patch to match the surrounding street.
Each boring will take approximately two hours to complete. The site work covered under the
requested Encroachment Permit is expected to take one day to complete. The approximate
locations of the proposed soil borings are shown on Figure 2.
Traffic control measures will be designed in order to provide safe and expeditious movement of
traffic while allowing the intended work to progress safely and efficiently. At minimum, all site
personnel will be equipped with Level D PPE including orange safety vests or equivalent.
