Mr. Jeffery Wong
Page 3
After stabilization of pH, temperature, and electrical conductivity, and water level recovery of at least
80%, samples will be collected into appropriately labeled containers, and placed in an ice chest
refrigerated to a temperature of 4°C for shipment to a State-certified laboratory under chain of custody
protocol. Sample analysis will consist of TPHg, BTEX, gasoline oxygenate additives, DCA and EDB
using the above EPA methods.
Protocols and Safety
All field activities performed at the site will be conducted in accordance with the Quality
Assurance/Quality Control Plan and Site Specific Health and Safety Plan included in Attachments B and
C, respectively.
Drill cuttings will be placed on and covered with plastic sheeting. Water generated from well purging
and equipment decontamination will be contained in labeled DOT approved drums. The soil cuttings
and drums will be stored on site pending laboratory results and proper disposal.
Permitting and Schedule
Well construction permits, encroachment permits and associated fees will be submitted to the appropriate
agencies subsequent to approval of this workplan. Following receipt of the permits, fieldwork will be
scheduled. The Workplan to conduct an ozone injectionpilot test will be submitted as a Workplan
Addendum.
In response to your request for additional information regarding "Well E" (EHD corresp, April 3,
2002), please note that only four water supply wells (A through D) were identified within a 2000 foot
radius of the site. The location plotted as "E" was identified as a church. Tabulated data and source
information are included in Table 3. Locations are identified on Figure 5.
Please contact Ground Zero at your earliest convenience if you have any questions or comments
regarding this report.
Respectfully,
Ground Zero Analysis
T2 Sean Garvey, GREGORY P.
Staff Geologist /J gTqF
No. 5023
Gregory P.
