Stockton <br />Date: <br />November 22, 2019 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />Item # Remarks <br />104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) No modified contingency plan. <br />OBSERVATION: A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br />areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br />telephone number of the emergency coordinator, the location of tire extinguishers and spill control material, and the <br />telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately post the required information at the facility. Provide a statement to the San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department that the correction is complete. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br />OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that <br />employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. Shawn Allen, Shop Manager, stated hazardous <br />waste training is not given to employees. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br />waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br />emergencies. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees.
