All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The current chlorine level is measured at 0.The chlorine in the pool must be maintained between 2-10 <br /> PPM.Adjust and correct, pool closure until a correction can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pH is currently measured to be above 8.0. Reduce and maintain pH level between 7.2-7.8. Pool <br /> closure until a correction can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br /> OBSERVATIONS:There is currently not test kit on site or proof of a test kit being used for maintenance on site. Obtain and <br /> maintain on site. Correct before next routine inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine,pH,and <br /> cyanuric acid(if used)at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br /> type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine,so that combined chlorine concentrations can be determined. <br /> (CCR 65529) <br /> #15 Operation Records <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Facility currently does not contain an operation log in which the pool maintenance is documented. <br /> Provide before operation. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual,pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br /> Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br /> necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br /> for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
