The samples included one blind duplicate and one field
blank of distilled water. Water samples W006 and W007 were
collected from monitoring well MW-7 at the same time. The blind
i , duplicate serves as a quality control on the results received
from the analytical laboratory. To evaluate the possible
'influence of the cleaning water on the water samples, sample
W009, a field blank of distilled water was submitted for
analyses.
All of the water samples were analyzed for volatile aromatics
(benzene, toluene, xylene) by EPA Method 602. Gasoline related
constituents were detected in the water samples collected from
monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-7. In water sample W008 collected
from MW-1 benzene was detected at 230.0 ug/L (ppb) , toluene at
120.0 ug/L, and xylene at 1600 ug/L. In water sample W006
collected from MW-7, benzene was detected at 52.0 ug/.L, toluene
at 55.0 ug/L, xylene at 100.0 ug/L and ethylbenzene at 33.0
ug/L. In water sample W007, a blind duplicate of W006 for MW-7,
benzene was detected at 39.0 ug/L, toluene at 42.0 ug/L, xylene
at 60.0 ug/L and ethylbenzene at 43.0 ug/L. There is not a .
R4 significant difference in the concentrations of constituents
detected in blind duplicate (WO07) . The slight decrease in
14:531 11 -
11 Min
