. H. KLEINFE!_DER&ASSOCIATES
6 FINDINGS
----------------------------------------------------------------
Gasoline related constituents (benzene, toluene and xylene) were
detected at low concentrations in the ground water beneath, and
south of the tank excavation area. The concentrations detected
in water sample W008 collected from monitoring well MW-1 during
the recent round of sampling did not change significantly from
the concentrations detected during the November 15, 1985 round of
sampling. Gasoline related constituents were detected in water
samples W006 and W007 collected from MW-7, but at lower
concentrations than the water sample collected beneath the tank
p excavation area from MW--1. Monitoring well MW-7 is located
approximately 60 feet directly south of the tank excavation area.
Benzene (2.4 ppb) was the only constituent detected in water
- sample W004 collected from monitoring well IOW-4 located
approximately 70 feet to the southeast of the tank excavation
area.
Based on the analytical results of the water samples collected
from the seven ground water monitoring wells and the probable
local ground water gradient to the south—southeast, a .plume of
gasoline related constituents appears to be traveling in the
ground water to the south--southeast under the main building.
a" Probable volative aromatic concentrations in the shallow ground
------ ------- -- _the-.analytica-l-...resul.ts.__of--the-.._-swat-e.r__.._samg.l,Ls------
collected from monitoring wells MW-1 , MW-7, and MW--4, have been
19.531 13
