INTRODUCTION
The following proposal is in response to Guild Wineries and
Distilleries request for a work plan and cost estimate for those
recommendations listed in JHK&A's "Soil Assessment Report", dated
March 18, 1986.
i 11. OBJECTIVES AND APPROACH
1,
t A. Objectives
4 There are two principal project objectives:
i. One objective is to assess the extent of aromatic
hydrocarbon migration in the ground water. This
information is necessary to design and implement a
remedial action plan.
2. A second objective is to design a remediation system'
for unsaturated soil above the ground water table.
r This is referred to as a vapor phase extraction system.
LThe goal is to remediate the soil contaminated with
gasoline in the immediate area adjacent to the tank
I excavation area approximately at 8600 square feet.
L Successful demonstration of this in situ remediation
program will obviate the remedial alternative of site
excavation and disposal estimated to exceed a cost of
$250,000.
ice''
END
