These individuals will be responsible for managing specific
tasks as shown on the project schedule, Figure 4.1.2. Their expertise in
ground water modeling; chemical, design, and process engineering; and
t ' ground water remediation will ensure proper execution and completion of
the remedial action objectives.
4.1.2 PROJECT SCHEDULE
R-mediation of hydrocarbon contaminated ground water is a complex and
lengthy process. We have prepared this work plan and associated schedule
rte"
in order that Guild Wineries management may evaluate the options and
justify expenditures to the Board of Directors and stockfrolders. It
should be recognized that estimation of a project completion date is
difficult due to numerous variables and uncertainty associated with
projection of recovery and treatment rates. Ground water modeling results
will help to reduce these uncertainties and thus provide a good estimate
:-: of project length. At this time, however, we can only project a range of
6 months to 60 months for the entire remedial action program.
Figure 4.1.2 illustrates the necessary tasks and timing to proceed from
.r the investigative phase into remediation. Approximately two months will
be required to complete Phase 1 which includes the steps necessary to
select, design, and start up the treatment process. Subsequent
monitoring, modeling, and treatment system performance assessment would
occur through Phase II. The chase II schedule will be developed following
an evaluation of Phase I information.
33-87-887 28
