t 1 <br /> Clavton <br /> ."RONNIENTAL <br /> (ONSULTA.ATS <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Wells Fargo Bank verbally retained Clayton En ironmental Consultants, Inc., on <br /> February 5, 1993, to perform a subsurface soil investigation at their facility located at <br /> 150 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California (Appendix A, Figure 1). The work <br /> was performed in accordance with the Terms and Conditions outlined in Clayton's <br /> Proposal No. 93-SEE-013, dated February 4, 1993. The investigation was requested <br /> by Wells Fargo Bank due to their knowledge of a previously existing service station <br /> that used underground storage tanks (USTs) at the site. <br /> 1.1 OBJECTIVES <br /> Clayton's objective for the subsurface site asses ment was to assess the soil for the <br /> presence of fuel hydrocarbons. <br /> 1.2 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Clayton performed, or coordinated, the following scope-of-work to accomplish the <br /> objectives for the groundwater investigation: <br /> • Hand-drilled three boreholes <br /> • Collected and laboratory analyzed two to three soil samples from each borehole <br /> • Backfilled the boreholes after sampling <br /> • Stored soil cuttings generated during the investigation <br /> • Prepared an assessment report <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> Clayton performed a Phase I Environmental Ass ssment of the property at 150 West <br /> Yosemite Avenue for Wells Fargo Bank. During Clayton's record search for that <br /> Phase 1, Clayton discovered documentation of USTs formerly located at the site that <br /> posed the potential for undisclosed leakage. Clayton notified Wells Fargo Bank of <br /> that documentation and Wells Fargo Bank requested that Clayton perform this <br /> subsurface soil and groundwater investigation. <br /> 1 <br /> 46514-M."2 COPffMENTIAL AND PRIVILEGED <br />
