In addition to the soil boring confirmation drilling
and sampling, a minimum of one monitoring well in the verified downgradient
position of the tank and appurtenances will be necessary in order to provide
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) the data for the
evaluation of site certification. Gradient determination may be ascertained
through nearby groundwater investigations; however, PHS/EHD is unaware of any
nearby wells which would provide gradient determination. Your consultant may
wish to conduct a well survey in the area to identify nearby groundwater
investigations.
Mary Meays, Senior R.E.H.S., will continue to provide you with site specific
guidance and should you have any questions regarding this matter please contact
Ms. Meays at (209) 458-0337.
If you have any questions, please contact Diane Hinson, Supervising REHS, of my
staff at (209) 468-3452.
Jogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H.
lth Officer
Donna Heran, REHS, Program Manager
Environmental Health Division
DH/dmh
cc: Aegis Environmental; Attn: Abel Ramirez
CVRWQCB; Attn: E.
