r� <br /> k1 Sol Boring trwestigedon Remift Report <br /> 707 E Yosemite Ave Manteca CalHornla <br /> i SCOPE <br /> The following scope of work was conducted according to the Aegis standard operating <br /> procedures included in Attachment 2 <br /> • Three soil borings (SB-1, S13-2 and S13-3) were drilled, logged and sampled <br /> to 15 feet below grade each, adjacent to the UST basin and the dispenser <br /> islands, <br /> • Selected soil samples were submitted to a state-certified laboratory and <br /> analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), as gasoline, TPH, as <br /> diesel, and benzene, toluene, ethlybenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) <br /> • After completion, each soil boring was grouted to the surface with a <br /> bentonite cement slurry <br /> • This letter report was prepared documenting the results of the investigation <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> . The 707 East Yosemite site is an active mini-mart/carwash that retails unleaded gasolines <br /> and diesel The site is located within a commercial area of Manteca, on the northeast <br /> corner of the intersection of East Yosemite and Washington Streets (Figure 1) The site <br /> includes two 10,000-gallon and one 8,000-gallon UST, two dispenser islands and a mini- <br /> mart/carwash budding <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The three steel UST are approximately 30 years old In January 1987, Canonie <br /> Environmental, of Stockton, California, trenched and collected sod samples from beneath <br /> the dispenser islands and adjacent to the UST Soil analysis indicated volatile <br /> hydrocarbon concentrations ranged from below detection limits to 30 parts-per-million <br /> (ppm) Approximately half of one cubic yard of hydrocarbon impacted soil was removed <br /> from the UST/product piping connection area In November 1987, Armor-Seal, of <br /> Cincinati, Ohio, tested the UST integrity, fiberglassed all UST and replaced the product <br /> and vapor piping The UST have been Petrotite-tested annually since <br /> 93-042A RER -2- <br />
