=7 aqua science <br /> AW <br /> LgagiffeLsrs inir <br /> "�4 I MMY <br /> 0 <br /> pH{�� a9 <br /> August 9, 2000 <br /> Ms Anita Cassidy <br /> 625 El Portal Avenue <br /> Manteca, CA 95337 <br /> SUBJECT WATER WELL SAMPLING RESULTS <br /> 17926 South Airport Way <br /> Manteca, CA 95337 <br /> Dear Ms Cassidy <br /> On July 25, 2000, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) collected <br /> gioundwatei samples fiom the domestic well located on your property at <br /> 17926 South Airport Way in Manteca, California The samples were <br /> submitted to Kiff Analytical Laboratory in Davis, California for analysis <br /> The analysis showed that the water sample contained 68 parts per billion <br /> (ppb) methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) and 74 ppb tert butanol (TBA) <br /> In addition, a confirmation water sample collected from your well on <br /> August 4, 2000 contained 54 ppb MTBE The California Department of <br /> Health Services (DHS) has established a maximum contaminant level <br /> (MCL) of 5 ppb for MTBE in drinking water No MCL is currently <br /> established for TBA The MTBE concentrations detected in groundwater <br /> samples collected from your water well exceed drinking water standards <br /> Based on these results, water from that well should not be used <br /> for drinking or for cooking.
