l <br /> Asr Rac'm <br /> J <br /> 1 <br /> August 9, 2000 ' <br /> Carol Copeland p �% <br /> 1324 Trailwood Avenue 9 <br /> Manteca, CA 95336 <br /> SUBJECT WATER WELL SAMPLING RESULTS <br /> 17933 South Airpoit Way <br /> Manteca, CA 95337 <br /> Dear Ms Copeland <br /> On August 4, 2000, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) collected <br /> groundwatei samples from two domestic wells located on your pi opei ty <br /> at 17933 South Airpoit Way in Manteca, California The samples were <br /> submitted to Kiff Analytical Laboratory in Davis, Califoinia for analysis <br /> Groundwater samples collected from the well on the east side of the <br /> property which services the front house contained 57 parts per billion <br /> (ppb) methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) and 073 ppb 1 ,2-dichloroethane <br /> (1,2-DCA) The California Department of Health Services (DHS) has <br /> established a maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) of 5 ppb foi MTBE a n d <br /> 05 ppb 1,2-DCA in drinking water The concentrations of both of these <br /> compounds in groundwater samples collected from that water well <br /> exceeded drinking water standards Based on these results, water <br /> from that well should not be used for drinking or for cooking. 1 <br /> It is my understanding that bottled drinking water has already been <br /> delivered to that address Additional water can be delivered to the house <br /> at no charge by calling John Guinta at (209) 825-8524 Please notify your <br /> tenant of this phone number <br /> Groundwater samples collected from the well on the west side of the <br /> property which services the house in the back did not contain any <br /> detectable concentrations of any of the compounds analyzed <br /> On August 10, 2000, a confirmation sample was collected from the well <br /> on the east side of the property (which services the front house) ASE will <br /> inform you of these results when we receive them <br /> 208 W Ef Pinlado Donville, California 94526 • 925 824-9391 • Fox 925-837-4853 <br />
