. 469 science <br /> engineers inc. <br /> � �� — �'"' 1 '' <br /> April 29, 2001 <br /> Mr Ray Fulton <br /> 4690 East Live Oak Road <br /> Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> SUBJECT WATER WELL SAMPLING RESULTS <br /> 17971, 17983 and 17995 South Airport Way <br /> Manteca, CA 95337 <br /> Dear Mr Fulton <br /> On March 9, 2001, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) collected <br /> groundwater samples from the domestic well located on your property at <br /> the northwest corner of West Yosemite Avenue and Airport Way in <br /> Manteca, California Water from this well services 17971, 17983 a n d <br /> 17995 South Airport Way The samples were submitted to Kiff Analytical <br /> Laboratory in Davis, California for analysis Groundwater samples <br /> collected from the well contained concentrations of methyl-t-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) at 1 5 parts per billion (ppb) The California Department of <br /> Health Services (DHS) has established a maximum contaminant level <br /> (MCL) for MTBE in drinking water of 5 ppb The MTBE concentration <br /> detected in groundwater samples collected from your well did not exceed <br /> the DHS MCL for drinking water <br /> Although the MTBE concentration did not exceed the DHS MCL for <br /> drinking water, we are arranging an alternate water supply for anyone in <br /> the area with detectable MTBE concentrations that may possibly be related <br /> to a source on the Frank's One Stop property This will require <br /> disconnecting the household plumbing from the well and connecting t h e <br /> plumbing to 1,090-gallon water tanks, which will be filled with city water <br /> on a regular basis This will eliminate any potential contact with MTBE, <br /> even though the concentrations are very low Please be advised that all o f <br /> this will be performed at no cost to you, however, we will need your <br /> permission to proceed To date, you have not responded to our letters o r <br /> phone calls Please call me at (925) 820-9391 immediately to discuss this <br /> situation <br /> 208 W El Pintodo, Oonville, Calr{orma 94526 • 925-82&9391 • Fax 925 837.4853 <br />
