Groundwater samples collected from the well contained 50 parts p e r <br /> billion (ppb) methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) The California <br /> Department of Health Services (DHS) has established a maximum <br /> contaminant level (MCL) for MTBE in drinking water of 5 ppb The MTBE <br /> concentration detected in the water sample collected from your well is a t <br /> the DHS MCL for drinking water <br /> Since the MTBE concentration detected in the water sample collected from <br /> your well is currently at the DHS MCL far drinking water and has been <br /> above the DHS MCL in the past, ASE will be installing a water treatment <br /> system during the month of November Your well pump will be put back in <br /> seivice at that time and the Aeropure water system will be removed from <br /> the property The water treatment system will eliminate any potential <br /> contact with MTBE In addition, ASE will continue to sample your well <br /> water on a periodic basis, and we will continue to provide you with <br /> analytical results of all future sampling events <br /> If you have any questions regarding the groundwater situation, please <br /> contact Ms Lori Duncan of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> at (209) 468-0337 If you would like to contact us, we can be reached a t <br /> • (925) 820-9391 <br /> 208 W El Pintodo, Danville California 94526 • 925 8249391 • Fax 925-8374853 <br />
