November 15, 2001 Mr and Mrs Rossi 495 Airport Way Manteca, CA 95337 SUBJECT WATER WELL SAMPLING RESULTS 495 and 511 Airport Way Manteca, CA 95337 Dear Mr And Mrs Rossi October 30, 2001, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) collected groundwater samples from the wells located on your property at 495 Airport Way in Manteca, California The samples were submitted to Kiff Analytical Laboratory in Davis, California for analysis • Water samples collected fiom your well located at 495 Airport Way contained 058 parts per billion (ppb) 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) The California Department of Health Services (DHS) has established a maximum contaminant level (MCL) for 1,2-DCA in drinking water of 0 5 ppb The 1,2-DCA concentration detected in the water sample collected exceeded the DHS MCL foi di inking water Based on these results, ASE will be installing a water treatment system dining the month of November Your well pump will be put back r n seivice at that time and the Aeropure water system will be removed ft om the property The watei treatment system will eliminate any potential contact with 1,2-DCA In addition, ASE will continue to sample your well water on a periodic basis, and we will continue to provide you with analytical results of all future sampling events If you have any questions regarding the groundwater situation please contact Ms Lori Duncan of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services at (209) 468-0337 In addition, ASE would like to continue to sample your wells on a peiiodic basis, and we will continue to provide you with analytical results of all future sampling events If you would like t o contact us, we can be reached at (925) 820-9391 208 lA' S Arnic.do DonvrUe Colifomio 94.526 • 925 8249391 Fox 925 837A X353
