3 . 0 PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK (SOW)
Based on the requirements outlined in the November 30, 2000 letter from
the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD, the following is the proposed scope of
work for the next phase of work for this project
3J SECTION I β€” ASSESSMENT OF FOUR PRIVATE WF.i I S INβ€ž,THFSITE,
VTC`INiTY
As requested by the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD, information regarding
the well construction of domestic wells located at 17933, 17950, 17904
and 17925 Airport Way will be gathered, including conducting down-hole
video logs and cement bond logs for each of these wells These are the
four private wells closest to the site which contain MTBE at concentrations
exceeding DHS MCLS for drinking water In addition, down-hole video
logs and cement bond logs will be conducted for both the domestic a n d
irrigation wells located at 17886 Airport Way, where groundwater samples
collected from the irrigation well contained detectable MTBE
concentrations but samples collected from the domestic well did not The
following specific scope of work will be conducted
1) Open each well and remove the pump and all associated lines a n d
other obstructions Each well will then be brushed, and
accumulated sediment will be removed in preparation to video log
the well
2) Once the wells are prepared, a down-hole video log and cement
bond log will be completed for each well
3) Relevant information on each well will be compiled in a report
Information gathered will include total depth of well, depth of
pump, inside diameter of well, casing material, condition of casing,
screened interval(s), depth of cement seals, historic concentrations
of each contaminant detected and distance to the potential sources
3 .2 SECTION II--DRHJ.TEN CET BORINGS NORTH OE THE SUBIFC'T,SUE
The San Joaquin County PHS-EHD has recommended drilling ten CPT
borings at the site using a loose transect approach They request using
CPT borings in a grid layout of approximately 400-feet by 400-feet Based
on this directive, ASE's scope of work is as follows
Frank's One Stop Workplan β€” December 2000
-9-
