The purpose of the meeting was to address financial concerns as stated by members of the <br /> USTCF regarding costs associated with the investigation at the site located at 2072 W Yosemite <br /> Avenue in Manteca, California (site) In an effort to continue moving forward at this site, <br /> PHS/EHD is re-directing the investigation using an iterative or tiered approach These directives <br /> have been discussed with ASE personnel PHS/EHD hereby directs you to complete the <br /> following actions <br /> • Revise the grid layout of the cone penetrometer technology (CPT) locations so that they <br /> occur at a spacing of approximately 400 by 400 feet This will result in a total of nine CPT <br /> locations instead of the 24 proposed CPT locations described in the ASE workplan dated <br /> 9/29100 (workplan) <br /> • Install a single CPT/grab groundwater location at the center of the vacant lot located on the <br /> corner of West Yosemite Avenue and Airport Way, instead of the six locations as proposed <br /> in the workplan <br /> • Complete a down-hole video log for the four domestic wells located at 17933, 17950, 17904, <br /> and 17926 Airport Way These wells are impacted by MtBE at concentrations exceeding the <br /> maximum contaminant levels Also complete a video log for the two wells located at 17886 <br /> Airport Way, which is the site where the irrigation well has been impacted by methyl tertiary <br /> butyl ether (MtBE)but the domestic well has not <br /> • Install borings cast and west of the line of recovery wells at the site to verify that <br /> contamination does not extend past the capture zone <br /> A Dn ision of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
