WQCF INSPECTION -2- 3 June 1996
CITY OF MANTECA
• Our last stop was at the river outfall. We were unaccompanied by Manteca personnel to this
location. The outfall discharge had some minor foaming but was quickly dissipated within
20 feet of the discharge point. The river stage was high enough to be onto the concrete apron
of the discharge pipe.
Before we left the WQCF for the river outfall we collected grab samples of the effluent for
analytical analysis. The effluent samples were analyzed for BODS,TSS, SS,TKN, and Nitrates.
INSPECTION SUMMARY:
Manteca's WQCF appear to be having difficulty during the transition into full nitrification. The
collected sample analytical results will determine whether compliance with their NPDES permit
is being achieved at the time of this inspection.
ki i wd, _
Michael H.
