Discharge to land averages 2.0 mgd,which includes up to 0.55 mgd of food <br /> processing waste, and contains the following: <br /> Constituent Units Concentration lbs/da <br /> average avera e <br /> BOD' mg/l 143 3 2400 <br /> Total Nitrogen mg/1 9 3 150 <br /> 1 5-day,20°C biochemical oxygen demand <br /> 2 Based on 2.0 mgd <br /> 3 Wastewater Management Plan, August 2002 <br /> 5. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(USEPA) and the Regional Board have classified <br /> this discharge as a major discharge. <br /> BENEFICIAL USES/WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANS <br /> 6. The Regional Board adopted a Water Quality Control Plan,Fourth Edition,for the Sacramento <br /> and San Joaquin River Basins (hereafter Basin Plan). The Basin Plan designates beneficial uses, <br /> establishes water quality objectives, and contains implementation programs and policies to <br /> achieve water quality objectives for all waters of the Basin. These requirements implement the <br /> Basin Plan. <br /> 7. The beneficial uses of the Delta downstream of the discharge as identified in Table H-1 of the <br /> Basin Plan are municipal and domestic supply, agricultural irrigation, agricultural stock watering, <br /> industrial process water supply, industrial service supply,water contact recreation, other non- <br /> contact water recreation,warm freshwater aquatic habitat, cold freshwater aquatic habitat,warm <br /> fish migration habitat, cold fish migration habitat,warm spawning habitat, wildlife habitat, and <br /> navigation. <br /> 8. The beneficial uses of the underlying ground water are municipal and domestic, industrial <br /> service, industrial process and agricultural supply. <br />
