Center Street
Manteca, CA 95336
REVIEW OF MANTECA'S PROPOSED EFFLUENT AND RECEIVING WATER
QUALITY ASSESSMENT (ERWQA) PLAN, PREPARED BY ANLAB ANALYTICAL
LABORATORY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
We have completed our review of ANLAB's work plan for preparing Manteca's ERWQA Plan. ANLAB's
proposal appears complete. However,we will be unable to determine adequacy of the testing procedures
until we have reviewed the actual analysis methods ANLAB will be using and the anticipated detection limits
they will be reporting for each constituent.
ANLAB's Table 3, Toxic Constituents to be Sampled in Comprehensive ERWQA, identifies the constituents
they are proposing to be analyzed for in Manteca's effluent to satisfy the Inland Surface Waters Plan (ISWP).
The following ISWP constituents were not included in ANLAB's Table 3: Asbestos,Tributyltin,TCDD
equivalents, Halomethanes, or the Hexachlorocyclohexanes. If these constituents are to be analyzed by some
other lab, then we will need to know what analysis methods and detection limits will be used by that lab prior
to sampling.
If you need any additional information please call me, at(916)255-3030.
MICHAEL H.
