SAMPLING SUMMARY AND DISCUSSION Based on the Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan (PSAWP) approved by the EHD on 07 January 2019, twenty-two (22) samples were collected within the property residence on 14 January 2019. The sample locations are identified in Figure 3. No exceptions to the EHD approved sampling plan were noted. 2.1. SAMPLING METHODS AND PROTOCOLS Presently, "acceptable" limits for residual methamphetamine concentrations have not been established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the California Department of Health Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. The California Methamphetamine Contaminated Property Cleanup Act of 2005 (Chapter 6.9.1, Section 25400 of the California Health and Safety Code) outlines criteria for the assessment and cleanup of properties affected by clandestine drug laboratory activity. Specifically, the Property Cleanup Act of 2005 established a State Re -Occupancy Criteria of 1.5 micrograms of methamphetamine per 100 square centimeters (tag/100 cm2) of testing surface. Surfaces where methamphetamine contamination is detected at concentrations above this threshold must be remediated until additional sampling indicates the methamphetamine concentrations on remaining surfaces are below the threshold. 2.2. SAMPLING PROTOCOLS Sampling protocols for sample collection were in adherence with EHD requirements and the PSAWP. Collected samples were enclosed in tamper resistant containers, tracked via chain of custody form and shipping tracking documentation, and shipped via courier.
