Waste streams found: used oil, used coolant, used metal oil filters, used paper oil filters. Note: the following items were corrected on site. Item 1: OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers were: -One 55 gallon container with used paper oil filters observed with no accumulation start date. Operator corrected on site by finding accumulation start date, using previous manifest as reference. - Five 5 gallon used oil collectors observed with no hazardous waste labels. Operator filled out hazardous waste label provided by inspector and placed on oil collectors. - One 1 gallon used oil pump observed with no hazardous waste label. Operator filled out hazardous waste label provided by inspector and placed on used oil pump. REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the words "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition (contents), accumulation start date Item 2: OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed on-site. The following used metal oil filter containers were on-site: -One 55 gallon container with used metal oil filters observed with no accumulation start date. Operator corrected on site using previous manifest as reference. REGULATION GUIDANCE: (b) "used oil filters" are defined as filters which contain a residue of used oil and which are exempt from regulation as a hazardous waste under the scrap metal provision found in federal law. (c) Used oil filters that meet the conditions of subsection (b)of this section and are managed and recycled in compliance with the following requirements shall not be regulated as hazardous waste.
